The Hormone Balancing Act

I have devoted the last couple of years researching and personally testing natural solutions for hormone balance to help menopausal women like me.

Some of the products have worked beautifully.  Some have been huge fails!

What I have learned along the way though, is that both the successes and fails are better options than artificial/synthetic hormone replacement therapy.

I have also learned that everyone’s body responds differently.  So what works for me, may not necessarily work the same for someone else.  And, what works today may not provide the same relief two years from now.  Menopause is a journey that takes us down a winding path of seasonal hormonal changes.

For example, I had been successfully balancing my hormones with the same products for quite a while and then over the holidays I started experiencing some pretty severe hot flashes.  I thought it was because of all of the alcohol and sugar I was consuming at the many holiday parties I attended.

After the holidays were over and my body did not return to normal balance, I decided I needed to cleanse it and start over.  I flushed the crap out of my system with a brief juice cleanse and started gradually adding some hormone supporting essential oils and supplements back into my diet.

Turns out, my body was severely lacking in testosterone.  Once I fed my body what it needed in the testosterone department my hot flashes stopped immediately. And, by immediately, I mean immediately.

We are all blessed in that the earth has provided so many natural options to support our bodies (i.e., hormones).  They are readily available to everyone if you know where to look for them.  Using essential oils and essential oil infused supplements are the world’s best kept secret when it comes to supporting our hormones (in both women and men).

A simple yam can provide progesterone for your body.  Clary Sage can help support your estrogen.  Myrtle can help support testosterone.  I could go on and on and on and on.  These are all SAFE options for hormone balance!
